In order to read the above guides, you will require the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (TM). This is free and can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Starting from the Options menu...

Change password:
Create a unique password for ILP. Remember, whenever you type this password the administration mode will pop up on screen.

User email setup
This sets up where email reports will be sent to, you will need your email account password.

Email monitoring set up
This is where you can monitor your children's email addresses, it will monitor inbound and outbound emails.

Watch Words/Phrases Library
This is where you can add your words that you want to monitor – this can be people's names or phrases you don't want your children to see. You can take various actions if the phrase or word is used – simply choose what actions for each phrase you want.

Watch Word Dictionary
We have provided you with a basic dictionary under several headings – sex, swearing, bullying and grooming.
You can add words yourself or choose words from the library.

Block Internet Activity
Here you can block certain programmes or actions eg chatting, file sharing. Simply choose what you want to block and Save.
Once blocked, in order to use these applications you will need to change your settings or deactivate ILP. Don't forget to restart it afterwards.

Block Applications
You can block your children from using certain applications eg Microsoft Word.

Silent Mode Options
This allows you to run ILP without your children being aware of it. It won't be visible to anyone and will only be seen when you type in your password. You can also change the name of the ILP software file so that no-one else can find it as it won't be called ILP. You can also set up an override password which will shut your system down whenever you type it. Make sure this is a totally unique password. This allows you to shut your system down remotely via email.

Text Dictionary
This allows you to create a dictionary of frequently used words in SMS and text messages so when you are reading your logs it will be quicker.

Text Converter
This allows you to translate text and SMS talk into English and vice versa.

View Archives
Your monitoring will be stored automatically in the archives by date. You can then go back and check on activity or delete the archive from your system.

Check for updates
Please check for updates on a regular basis.

Once you have set up all the various options. You will return to the main ILP screen.
Press Start and ILP will start monitoring everything on your PC and hide itself. Just type your ILP password anywhere at any time on your PC and it will bring up the ILP administration page.
